Subzero temperatures affected a large swath from Montana to New York and as far south as northern Oklahoma and northern Alabama. Prof. Jennifer Francis, Rutgers University’s Institute 'said that such extreme weather events can be caused by global warming. Rebuttal: 'Yet a study by Colorado State Professor Dr. Elizabeth A. "A new paper published in Geophysical Research Letters debunks claims that "Arctic amplification" is causing an increase of extreme weather in North America or the North Atlantic, finding such claims are "an artifact of the methodology" and not real. Reviewing the data, we see that current atmospheric science shows us that with the best modeling data available, that there is more of an established connection between cyclic solar weather outbursts that affect earth’s climate in almost predictable cycles than there is any supposed impact by man-made global warming.
